DKP Rules (submitted by Frumper at 09:57am UTC) About DKP DKP is a system of awarding players points for raiding with the guild. These points can then be used to bid on items that drop in guild raids. You can think of DKP as being "guild currency" which you earn by working for the guild and spend on things the guild finds. Our DKP system is a "best fit" method. This basically means we have made a compromise of fairness, simplicity and speed. Drops For all raids (25 man) items have to be purchased with dkp. Not all items will be up for guild purchase. Some items (such as the random BoE) will be sent to guild bank to build up guild banks money or to be used to craft items to strengthen the guild. Earning DKP Everyone online at invite time will get a 1dkp on time bonus, this applied to all online not just who gets in the raid. Everyone online will get the dkp for each boss kill regardless if in the raid or not (people not in the raid can be logged on alts but they must be in the guild). If someone is online on an alt and asked to join the raid and they cant for whatever reason they will not earn any of the dkp that evening. DKP Decay Every single week a script will be run on the dkp site and everyone will lose a set amount of dkp (see later). This number is subject to change based on the new dkp earnings, the aim is to balance outgoing and incoming dkp on a weekly basis. If someone is on an extended absence they must post it on the afk forum and when they return the dkp lost over that absence will be given back (example going on a 2 week holiday) Short absences wont count. Bidding For each item that drops, there will be closed bidding on the item. An officer will announce the item and state the minimum amount needed to bid. At that moment bidding starts and u can wisp the officer your bid. If you can use an item but do not want to bid it is requested that you whisper "pass" to speed up the bidding. Bidding will close after approximately 2-3mins or when all people able to use the item have whispered their bid or pass. Winning a bid After the bidding is over the officer will announce who won the bid and how much they will spend on the item. The amount the winner will spend is the 2nd highest bidder + 1. One bidder If only one person bids on an item they will get it for the minimum amount. Insufficient Funds If you have positive dkp but not enough for an item or have negative dkp you may bid the minimum amount. DKP Cap After each raids dkp has been added each members dkp is checked and anyone's dkp that is over the specified cap (see later) will have the amount over deducted from their total. Ties If 2 people tie then the item is rolled for. The person announcing that item will give each person who tied a number and then roll to see which person gets the item. If one or more people tie who are going into negative dkp then the person who has most dkp, or the one going least into debt, will take priority. Double drops If two of the same item drop it is treated as 1 item. The top two highest bidders will receive the item for the 3rd highest bid + 1 or minimum amount if they are the only bidders. Unwanted/Non-Affordable Items If an item drops that either no main wants it will be offered out as off-spec. It will initally be offered out by officer choice via loot council decision (officers choose who will get it). The purpose of this is to gear up strong offtanks/healers/dps for people who are asked to change specs in main raids. Should there not be a person that officers want to loot council to then it will be announced and people who can use the item for offspec can roll, highest roll will win the item with no DKP cost. If the item is still unwanted it will be disenchanted and the DE contents will goto the guild bank to sell to strengthen the guild. Alts If running more than 1 raid in a week and there are both alts and mains present then a main will win any item over an alt for their main spec. If no main wants officers will have the choice to loot council and if still unwanted it can then be rolled on by both Alt's mainspec and Mains Offspec at the same time. New Guild Members New members of the guild will not be able to outbid others until they have earned 50dkp in their lifetime. They can get an item for minimum if no one else wants it however. Price Fixing Any person attempting to or successfully fixing prices will be treated as if they had ninja looted from the guild. There are many reasons why price fixing has a negative impact on the guild which are too in depth to put here. It has been discussed at great length and will not change. Asking someone to not bid or bid low on an item is price fixing. Using your dkp to buy an item for someone who is or is not in the raid at time of the drop is price fixing These are serious offenses. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Event Values Normal Boss = 2dkp Hard = 4dkp Last boss = 3dkp Last Boss Hard = 6dkp Bonuses 1st time event reached – boss value 2nd time – half boss value 3rd time – 1 On time – 1 Raid end - 1 Decay Decay - each member will loose a %age of their dkp. This %age is subject to change to prevent too many people going into debt or becoming capped. (something between [0.5 * max_possable_you_can_earn"] and half that amount) DKP Cap The cap will be dictated by decay rate New boss attempts Each new boss kill is worth double the boss value Penalties Penalty's can arise depending or the situation for 1st night on boss there will be no penalty for mistakes for each night thereafter there will be an increasing -1dkp things deemed as simple mistakes (many show up on fail mod) untill a maximum of 5dkp per fail. Notes Offline, AFK or not being at a boss kill for whatever reason may mean you will loose the respective points associated with that specific event. i.e. if you were offline for a boss you would not get the points for that boss but would get the rest of what you had done. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Item Costs These are the minimum costs for an item. Items will NOT go for below these costs and the appropriate action will be taken (see "Unwanted Items"). Trash Drop – 50 Boss Epic – 50 Legendary – Half the dkp cap |
